Public bug reported:

I tried to configure sddm with libpam_google_authenticator by setting

auth required pam_google_authenticator.so

in /etc/pam.d/sddm

When I try to login to SDDM I got the password prompt. If I enter my
password I got an authentication error and there is no prompt for OTP
validation.

/var/log/sddm.log is empty, so logging for SDDM doesn't work.

I also set 2FA authentication for login session and sshd and it works. I
got a password prompt and after that a validation prompt for OTP.

So what's going wrong?

Ubuntu release = 24.10 (Kubuntu)
sddm release = 0.21.0-1ubuntu4
