** Description changed: [Impact] As of kernel version v6.12+, tuning for low-latency can be done at boot- time via kernel command line. The lowlatency-kernel package will take care of setting the proper grub arguments, making linux-generic suitable to replace linux-lowlatency. [Why This Wasn't Done Sooner] A spec was drafted to phase out the lowlatency kernel flavour, but it - took several iterations to complete. + took several iterations to get everyone on the same page. [Affected Packages] It's a brand new package, so none at the moment. [Other Info] Nothing i can think of.
