I extended the logging patch and just tried the result in the build
machine instead of the one I write from, and voila, there I do get the
bug and the log says:

Where lp.com was the bogus site search I added myself and the Google one
was supposedly pre-populated. That says that the check
'expected_hash.size() != hash_size()' is being entered, causing the
entry to be marked as invalid and thereafter deleted. I'll pass this on
to upstream in the provided bug report.
