  Release: 24.04
  (Also affectd ubuntu 22.04.5)

- 3) Expected behaviour
+ 3) Expected behavior
When running "cd myproject; docker compose -f compose/docker-compose.yml up"
it is exepected that a .env file present in "myproject" directory will be
ignored.
This is the behavior on versions prior to 2.27.1 like
2.24.6+ds1-0ubuntu1~22.04.1 and is also the behavior on recent relases of the
docker-compse-plugin official package.

  4) What happens
In version 2.27.1+ds1-0ubuntu1~24.04.1 the .env file present in the directory
"myproject" is being used. This breaks compatibility with older and recent
versions, in short is an undesired behavior.

This bug seems to be related to (or is the same as):
  https://github.com/docker/compose/issues/11887

It was fixed here https://github.com/docker/compose/issues/11887 in
  version 2.27.2
