I have an issue which I believe is related. I have 2 different size
monitors connected to a KVM going to both my Ubuntu MATE 22.04.5 LTS
desktop and my work laptop's dock.

Monitors:
HDMI-A-0 Dell 24" 1920x1080
HDMI-A-1 Ausus 27" 2560x1440 [Primary]

When my Ubuntu desktop is locked, and I come back to it after a little
while, the Plank is on the main monitor but is shifted up and to the
left. I kill it in the pull-down terminal and restart it to get it back
to the bottom. When I have the issue again I open the pull-down
terminal to kill it and the following is displayed before I run the
commands:

[CRITICAL 19:08:06.994896] [DockWindow:298] Retry #1 update_size_and_position()
to force requested values!
[CRITICAL 19:08:06.995602] [DockWindow:298] Retry #2 update_size_and_position()
to force requested values!
