Public bug reported:
Occasionally the sound only comes out of the left speaker. Currently using
Ubuntu 7.10
This is quite an old bug, earliest google hit dated to 2003, but back then
everyone just abused the reporter saying "faulty speakers".
Not really sure how to reproduce since it happens randomly, but a google result
from 2006 lead me to a fix for this, which also helped some other guy on the
ubuntu support forums. This "fix" was installing QAMix. Now i'm not sure if
it was that which fixed it, or the other package which needed installing for
QAMix to be installed ( libqt3-mt ).
Not really sure what else to put, but but if it helps, i can uninstall both
these packages, wait until it happens again, and then query the system to try
and locate the problem. :)
