Public bug reported:
The currently plucky daily images for the Raspberry Pi
(https://cdimage.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/daily-preinstalled/current/) have
g-i-s 48.0-1ubuntu2 present, including the langpack fixes. The language
installation is working nicely, and is delayed to the end of the process
(after wifi setup). Unfortunately, the language selection itself doesn't
appear to alter the localization of g-i-s itself.
To reproduce:
* Flash current daily image to a card
* Boot on a supported model of Pi (e.g. Pi 5 4GB)
* Once started, gnome-initial-setup appears
* Tap the triple dot to expand the list of languages (language search fails
otherwise)
* Enter a non-English language, e.g. German in the search-bar and select it
from the list
* Click next
* Note that all subsequent screens are still in English
* Once setup completes, note that the selected language pack is nonetheless
installed and selected as the created user's language
** Affects: gnome-initial-setup (Ubuntu)
Importance: Undecided
Status: New
