I believe there are some freeze fixes coming in Mutter 48.1 (likely next
week). In the meantime, next time it happens please reboot and then run:
journalctl -b-1 > prevboot.txt
and attach the resulting text file here.
You might be able to work around freezes by adding one or both of these
to /etc/environment:
MUTTER_DEBUG_KMS_THREAD_TYPE=user
MUTTER_DEBUG_FORCE_KMS_MODE=simple
