Indeed, the patch to make it pcre2 (yes newer than 3) compatible was provided.
And when fixed it can come back.
Also upstream has 3 new releases 0.36, 1.0, 1.10, 1.11 which if keeping make
sense to have.
And yes, ktx is more or less an extension to mvdsv, so it has to go away
as well.
I love such small projects for the fun, but I agree that we would not want to
see this still around blocking the pcre2 transition started a decade ago
towards even the next LTS.
Let us remove it now and rejoice for a new version synced one day.
