Public bug reported:

auto-apt-proxy fails to detect my acng LAN proxy even though it's
clearly advertising itself via avahi. squid-dev-proxy-client has no
issue to pick it up. The following commands were run on noble.

$ avahi-browse -a|grep cache
+ wlp3s0 IPv6 apt-cacher-ng proxy on banana                 _apt_proxy._tcp
 local
+ wlp3s0 IPv4 apt-cacher-ng proxy on banana                 _apt_proxy._tcp
 local
+ wlp3s0 IPv6 apt-cacher-ng proxy on banana                 _apt-proxy._tcp
 local
+ wlp3s0 IPv4 apt-cacher-ng proxy on banana                 _apt-proxy._tcp
 local

$ /usr/share/squid-deb-proxy-client/apt-avahi-discover
http://A.B.C.D:3142/

$ auto-apt-proxy && echo successfully found nothing ":-)"
successfully found nothing :-)
