Thanks Alan yeah I implemented a solution based on your suggestion using preseeds curtin_userdata_ubuntu and it works as expected .. my preseed contains a late-command to fetch and execute a sh script from github.. the sh script from github downgrades cloud-init package accordingly, depending on which ubuntu codename release is detected (/etc/os-release)
> Please test this workaround and let us know if it resolves your issue. I wouldn't characterize this as RESOLVES my issue.. as I consider this workaround temporary.. to me resolved would be cloud-init fixed and avail in latest ubuntu cloud images such that this workaround isn't needed any longer thanks again for the fix suggestion, this definitely buys some time/breathing room for me -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2100963 Title: cloud-init fails with MAAS since Feb 4 update To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/cloud-init/+bug/2100963/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
