Public bug reported:

I recently purchased a Samsung T10 mp3 player. As such I have had to
compile libmtp 0.2.4 from the ubuntu hardy source to get some support
for this device. I have also compiled mtpfs 0.7 from source so that I
can access the device via nautilus giving me the ability to drag and
drop files from my laptop to the T10.

For the most part this works very well, however if I try to drag say all
the files (mp3) within an album from one nautilus window (say
/home/gm/Music/Artist) to another nautilus window for the T10, the
transfer starts, continues and appears to complete, however when I then
view the directory containing the copied files on the T10 I find that
only about half have been transferred over. Any further attempt to copy
files to the T10 fail but I am unable to find any error for this.

To clear the problem I have to umount the device (fusermount -u
/home/gm/T10), disconnect and reconnect and remount (mtpfs
/home/gm/T10).

I have raised the bug against libmtp, but I have to admit this may not
be the root cause it could be mtpfs but I am unable without further
guidance to determine which.

I am using ubuntu Gutsy.
