Public bug reported:

After installing Ubuntu 24.10 with kernel 6.11, the system freezes and
Wi-Fi fails to work due to issues with the Intel Wi-Fi 6E AX210 wireless
card using firmware version ty-a0-gf-a0-89.ucode.

The problem happens especially when closing the laptop lid and opening
it again. After that, the system becomes unresponsive, and shutdown also
fails.

Laptop details:

Model: ASUS Vivobook Q533MJ

CPU: Intel Ultra 7 155H

RAM: 40 GB

This issue did not exist with previous firmware version ty-a0-gf-a0-88.ucode.

Steps to Reproduce:

1. Boot the system with Intel AX210 on Ubuntu 24.10 (kernel 6.11).

2. Use firmware ty-a0-gf-a0-89.ucode.zst (from linux-firmware).

3. Close and reopen the laptop lid.

4. The system hangs, and Wi-Fi does not work.

Expected Behavior:

The Wi-Fi should continue working after closing and reopening the lid.

The system should not freeze.

Actual Behavior:

Wi-Fi fails with hardware errors.

System logs show firmware crashes.

System hangs on shutdown or resume.

Sample log messages:

iwlwifi 0000:2f:00.0: Unable to change power state from D3cold to D0, device
inaccessible
iwlwifi 0000:2f:00.0: Failed to start RT ucode: -110
iwlwifi 0000:2f:00.0: IML/ROM dump: 0x5A5A5A5A | IML/ROM SYSASSERT

Workaround:
Replacing the 89 firmware with ty-a0-gf-a0-88.ucode fixes the issue. The Wi-Fi
works, and the system no longer freezes.

Please review firmware version 89 compatibility with Intel AX210 and
Meteor Lake systems.
