Using the log in comment #9 we know: card1: i915 driver (Intel GPU) card2: nvidia-drm driver (Nvidia GPU)
and DP: DisplayPort (including USB-C ports) eDP: Laptop built-in panel (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/DisplayPort#eDP) There are always more logical ports than physical ports mentioned due to some combination of the GPUs supporting more ports in theory than laptops include, and due to some ports being capable of multiple protocols. For example you can run HDMI over DisplayPort and you can run DisplayPort over USB-C. Thus you can run HDMI over USB-C. Your output shows the HDMI cable is connected to the Nvidia GPU, but it could be connected to the Intel GPU if you had the applicable USB-C cable. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2107684 Title: 25.04 boots up to a black screen, both built-in and external monitors To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/mesa/+bug/2107684/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
