Thanks for your report! I need to ask a few questions to help us
understand the issue:
* Was this a new install of Ubuntu, or did you upgrade from an older Ubuntu? If
you upgraded, did this happen before the upgrade (i.e., was this issue present
on older Ubuntu?).
* Can you provide the output of `sensors -u` and `acpi -V`? You might need to
run `sudo apt install lm-sensors acpi` to get those commands working.
* Did you or someone else add/remove/modify the hardware or components in this
laptop?
