I've done some tests on my new Dell Latitude D630 and after about 4.30 I get about 425, thus I assume I suffer from this problem, right?
With the ugly fix (actually trying 'hdparm -B 254 /dev/sda') the problem seems to get solved (no more clicks). The hdd temperature raises to 41 C which still seems reasonable right? With the clicks it was around 36. -- High frequency of load/unload cycles on some hard disks may shorten lifetime https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/59695 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
