FWIW, just compiling the latest plucky sources for dracut (106-2ubuntu5)
and plymouth (24.004.60-2ubuntu7) on noble, without any changes, seems
to work just fine. I tried backporting the relevant dracut changes
first, but that resulted in a quite slow and bloated (~5x the size)
initrd compared to just installing the plucky version.

It's however probably recommended to change the package version number
in such a port, in order to not interfere with future updates (e.g.
something like "060+5-1ubuntu3.1~really106-2ubuntu5" for dracut).
