Ah, I see now. Our socket activation logic silently refuses sockets from systemd that are not AF_INET or AF_INET6. The socket is not closed or anything, hence why the connection attempt just hangs.
We should fix this in the socket activation code so that the drop-in I suggested above actually works. In that case, there is not actually a need for [email protected], which requires modifying Accept= anyways. ** Changed in: openssh (Ubuntu Noble) Status: In Progress => Confirmed ** Summary changed: - [email protected] is still needed for hv_sock in Noble release + sshd socket activation does not support AF_VSOCK -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2111226 Title: sshd socket activation does not support AF_VSOCK To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/openssh/+bug/2111226/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
