Non-gating and in fact purely optional - we've got a request (PF-5808) for a newer version.
If trivial while you are working on it anyway consider bumping it to version 4.4. If not now as part of the MIR we'd most likely do so as part of the regular merges/updates the cycle after it has been added (due to being team owned then it would be scheduled as regular merge/update effort).
