Can I be exempted with the "When you don’t want to fix a subsequent
interim release at all"[1] policy and only update the jammy version?

We only plan to support MediaTek devices on LTS releases. For non-LTS
versions, because it is hard to align with MediaTek's release cycle, we
currently do not plan to support these releases.

And for noble, the support is in progressing (MediaTek has just released
the new kernel that can be used in Noble earlier this month, and we plan
to support Noble in later this year.). And I will have a new SRU to
update the linux-firmware-mediatek-genio for Noble.
