Public bug reported:

According to https://packages.ubuntu.com/source/jammy-backports/yt-dlp
the Jammy backports haven't been updated since 2025.01.26, and according
to https://packages.ubuntu.com/source/noble-backports/yt-dlp the Noble
backports haven't been updated since 2025.04.30. Can you please consider
updating both? Alternatively, if you'd prefer not to have to update the
backports for each yt-dlp release, can you please inform me how I can
take over maintaining it (I have triaging permissions on the yt-dlp
repo, and I think most yt-dlp maintainers would be willing to vouch for
me)?

Btw, can you please change the updater message from `ERROR: As yt-dlp
has been installed via apt, you should use that to update. If you're on
a stable release, also check backports.` to `ERROR: As yt-dlp has been
installed via apt, you should use that to update. If you're on an
Ubuntu LTS release, you should update using "sudo apt install yt-
dlp/$(lsb_release -cs)-backports".` (obviously I can do that if I were
to take over maintaining the package)

** Affects: yt-dlp (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
