Public bug reported:

1. Ubuntu 24.04.2 LTS with stock Nautilus

2. nautilus 1:46.2-0ubuntu0.3

3. With option 'Expandable Folders in List View' on and a file in the
clipboard (after I cut it with Ctrl+X), if I place the selection in
Nautilus on a random file inside some expanded folder and press the
paste shortcut (Ctrl+V), I expect the file from the clipboard to be
moved into the expanded folder.

4. The above sequence of actions (i.e. cut a file with Ctrl+X, expand
any folder, place selection on a file in that folder, hit Ctrl+V) leads
immediately to freezing of Nautilus and shortly after that to crash.
This happens reliably every single time.

** Affects: nautilus (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
