Given how old the fsck issue is (discussed over a year ago in bug 1970069), it's probably more useful to ask if plymouth 24.004.60-2ubuntu8 is splashing later than previous versions. Because the fsck is not new, but our inability to hide it is. And I think to hide the fsck means starting the splash screen before any text is written to the console.
So is plymouth splashing later than 24.004.60-2ubuntu7 did? And if we can't undo that aspect then should we be prioritising bug 1869655 to work around it? -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2114116 Title: Questing boot splash is interrupted by fsck "clean" message To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/initramfs-tools/+bug/2114116/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
