Sorry for corrupting your system.
May I know if your AMD discrete GPU pci device has acpi companion which has the
value LNXVIDEO?
like:
$ cat /sys/devices/pci0000:00/0000:00:02.0/firmware_node/hid
LNXVIDEO
If it is possible, would you please have it a try?
