Same problem here after updating to 6.11.0-29-generic. No display just after GRUB (24.04 / AMD Radeon R9 380 with latest AMDGPU 6.4.1) when booting in -29. Booting on previous 6.11.0-26-generic works fine.
Just after booting the kernel from Grub, the screen turns definitively off (no source) but the system starts up fine (the system is accessible from SSH). A workaround is to remove splash from the bootargs in grub, then the display works fine. I also tried to uninstall and completely reinstall / recompile the AMDGPU driver (6.4.1) under 6.11.0-29-generic once booted with the workaround, without success. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2116257 Title: 6.11.0-29-generic + AMDGPU = blackscreen To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux-hwe-6.11/+bug/2116257/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
