Public bug reported:
After upgrading our nextcloud server to the current release tree (v31),
I found nextcloud-desktop couldn't sync files anymore. More precisely,
files over 10M in size, which involves splitting into chunks.
There have been a couple of people who reported it as a bug to the
nextcloud team - but it's the Ubuntu apt that's at fault - not their
end. Basically there was some major change in how syncing was done with
the v31 release and all clients need to be updated to work with that.
The Ubuntu 24.04 APT version is nextcloud-desktop-3.11.0 and has the
problem. I replaced it with flatpak
com.nextcloud.desktopclient.nextcloud-3.16.6 and the problem
disappeared.
