Thank you for your response. The problem was in Ubuntu 7.10. This was not in my PC, but my mother's. To ease the use at maximum I had configured the system with automatical login. According to you, because of that, the gnome-keyring-manager asked her a password to unblock the keyring. I solved this following your supposals: deactivating automatical login and using the same password for both user and keyring. Now she has to type her user/pass but there are not annoying windows once logged in. So, you were supposing right "That doesn't work with automatic login though which is a know issue" Thank you.
