Gone through the steps very carefully to make a new password.
-restart with shift key held down.
-Choose Advanced
-choose Ubuntu with Linux 6.8.0-60 ( generic recovery mode)
-dropped to root shell
-then command: mount -n -o remount,rw
-then command: Passwd david-oxland-EQ (from the existing address) that appears
in the address bar
result; user david-oxland-EQ does not exist.
-I've done several times. I don't know how to fix this.
