Typically when I own an SRU, I typically build in a PPA, do tests, and
then request SRU.
I originally create a PPA [1], with only the amd64 package, and not
added new arches, and all have built. Not sure of the differences
between the PPA build of packages and the dev/stable release builds. I
would have thought that both of these processes use the same build infra
and hence should just work in the same way.
Below are the 2 outputs from the ppa tests command to show that even the
autopkgtests had passed
- openvswitch: questing/openvswitch/3.5.1-0ubuntu1.1 [amd64]
+ ✅ openvswitch on questing for amd64 @ 02.07.25 13:23:32 Log️ 🗒️
- openvswitch: plucky/openvswitch/3.5.1-0ubuntu0~25.04.1.1 [amd64]
+ ❌ openvswitch on plucky for amd64 @ 03.07.25 19:07:11 Log️ 🗒️
• afxdp PASS 🟩
• kmod PASS 🟩
• offloads PASS 🟩
• userspace PASS 🟩
• dpdk FAIL 🟥
• python-extension PASS 🟩
We know about the dpdk issue, and migration-reference/0 is already
showing that dpdk for openvswitch is failing. This issue is currently
being investigating, but shouldn't necessarily delay the SRU
