MacBookPro here — 6.11.0-25 boots fine, but 6.14.0-15 fails with a black
screen. Confirmed using GRUB Advanced Options for manual boot. Under
guidance from ChatGPT I tried the nomodeset, acpi=off, and
nouveau.modeset=0 options, but none of them worked.
Same machine has a separate boot partition for 24.10. Never had any
problems with it, but it's no longer supported and I regard it as too
vulnerable to use.
