I don't actually have to do anything for Ubuntu Gutsy to recognize the Genius
WizardPen. Ubuntu 7.10 Gutsy recognizes the tablet easily on just plugging it
in. Maybe I was a bit vague when I said it doesn't work at all. The big problem
is that Ubuntu Gutsy recognizes the tablet and even the buttons on the side of
the pen work, (Try hovering the cursor over any button using the mouse to
guide it and then tap the pen on the tablet and you get a response.) BUT the
cursor does not move at all. If you really need to use your Wizard pen I
suggest using Ubuntu 7.04 Feisty. I don't know really how this bug report and
bug fixing thing works (I've never really found a good solution to fix a
problem from the forums or even had a response that worked) but it seems tablet
support is a low priority for Ubuntu developers which is really disappointing
since If you have to use a graphics application like Gimp and sometimes I use
the pen in Blender for the sculpt mode and the pen doesn't work then it makes
Ubuntu 7.10 Gutsy pretty useless to me.
Also I was mistaken about the pressure of the pen working in Ubuntu Feisty, it
doesn't. I was thinking of when I was also using it in Windows.
