First time I've really written anything on the site rather than via

Hopefully something I've mentioned helps in the bug tracking and fixing
department.

Interestingly, Duck Duck Go's search assist seems to think that version
I mentioned has broken the 470 driver. Quote:

"Yes, the 6.14.0-24-generic kernel update has caused issues with the
Nvidia 470 driver, leading to failures in building the kernel module.
This has been reported as a bug in the Ubuntu system."

Guess where it links to? Mail-archive and bug tracking answers from this
site (I won't post any URLs). Guessing, there's some substance to this
in that case. Hopefully a fix isn't far away. My PC is an absolute brick
in terms of video since that 6.14.0-24-generic kernel update even after
switching to 6.8.
