On Dell G15 Special Edition (RTX 3060), fans spin at maximum RPM under
Ubuntu 22.04/24.04, even when system temperature is low (CPU/GPU <50°C).
This does not happen under Windows. External monitor requires NVIDIA
mode (prime-select nvidia), but fans stay loud regardless of GPU
activity or system load. TLP and PowerMizer settings have no effect. Fan
RPM is above BIOS max even when idle. This appears to be a firmware/ACPI
bug or EC issue with Linux compatibility.”
