Public bug reported:
In Ubuntu 24.04 LTS under Wayland, when switching input sources using a
custom shortcut (Alt+Shift) configured via GNOME Tweaks, the following
issues occur:
The tray icon (input source indicator) in the top bar does not
update.
Sometimes the layout switch itself is delayed — you have to press
the shortcut twice for it to take effect.
This issue does not happen:
When using the default shortcut (Super+Space).
When using the X11 session instead of Wayland.
