Public bug reported:

I'm upgrading Ubuntu 22.04 to 24.04 and suddenly grub-pc fails after
running grub-install. I tried reisntalling it to find more details and
here's the output I've got:

Please note that Ubuntu 20.04 and 22.04 had no issues with this software
raid, and I've successfully upgraded 20.04 to 22.04 few hours ago.

https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/grub2/+bug/2060695 seems to be
about the same issue, but it says the fix was released, while crearly
it's not fixed yet.
