Hello,
My integrated webcam is not working on a new Dell XPS 14 9440 running
Ubuntu 24.04 LTS.
I was advised to install the 'oem-somerville-tentacool-meta' package
from the 'oem-solutions-engineers' PPA to get the correct camera
drivers.
The 'intel-ipu6-dkms' package consistently fails to build via DKMS. We tried
building it against multiple kernels with no success:
- Generic HWE Kernel (6.14.x)
- OEM Kernel (6.11.0-1012-oem)
The build failed even when booted into the correct OEM kernel with the
matching 'linux-headers' package installed. This appears to be a bug in
the driver source code preventing it from compiling on supported
hardware.
