Hello, Chris Chiu

First of all, thank you for the quick response.

I'm not using currently thunderbolt and don't know if it has installed driver
or if it has some driver bugs. If I need to install some thunderbolt driver or
similar - please provide more info, as I don't know where to get it for the ROG
Strix SCAR 18 G835LX_G835LX (as vendor providing it ONLY for the Windows).
The current OS info has the next "lsmod | grep thunderbolt":

thunderbolt           536576  0

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

At the same time I tried to follow your recommendations above.
I made next:

1)Open /etc/default/grub and edited the next line:

GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT="quiet splash pcie_aspm=off"

2)After I run the next command:

sudo update-grub

After reboot I tried to emulate the issue. It seems with "quiet splash
pcie_aspm=off" I'm NOT able to emulate the issue and reboot is working
properly. Thank you for the temporary solution that can help other users
of ROG Strix SCAR 18 G835LX, who wants to use Ubuntu based OS.

Now I'm trying to figure out what is drawback while using "quiet splash
pcie_aspm=off". As I understood we have "disabled Active-State Power
Management (ASPM) for PCIe (Peripheral Component Interconnect Express)
devices"

Could you please provide us with the info if it has some drawbacks?

Is it possible to fix bug inside ASPM in order to use OS without
"pcie_aspm=off"?.

With hope
Thanks in Advance for your response
