It looks like it should be possible to test the smartcard authentication
path, yes? Testing this SRU requires the tester to have an unconfigured
smartcard, so it should be tractable to also test with a configured
smartcard?

I'm *reasonably* confident from reading the diff that this won't break
things, but PAM is a subtle beast and empirical testing is better than
theory :)
