I'm closing this as WONTFIX as it takes 3 patches, two massive
refactoring, to fix a dmesg error that causes no harm so far, and yet it
brings another error that take even more massive refactoring commits to
be backported. I'm not convinced it's worthy of the cost. To reopen if
there is some actual need.
