By looking at the following error:
/var/lib/dpkg/info/mysql-server.postinst: line 202: /usr/share/mysql-
common/configure-symlinks: No such file or directory
I wonder if you manually removed /usr/share/mysql-common/configure-symlinks
somehow.
Could you please confirm if the file exists in your system?
Could you try re-installing mysql-common and retry the operation? Do you
still face the same issue then?
For now, I am marking this bug as incomplete until you can provide more
information on it. Please, set it back to New one the information
requested is provided.
