I have also come to the same conclusion as Yury. I booted into
`6.14.0-28-generic` which was still on my machine and now everything
magically works fine. Similarly I also had the same error occur before
the kernel upgrade.

I did not boot into `6.14.0-28-generic` on 2025-08-21 but I did so today
(2025-08-22) with nothing in the history for today. As opposed to Yury,
I did not remove `6.14.0-28-generic` and then install it. I have kept it
on the machine and not touched it. Just continued working in
`6.14.0-27-generic`

I also looked in my "/var/log/unattended-upgrades/unattended-upgrades-
dpkg.log" and I found the exact same log as Yury so I will not include
it here.
