Thank you for the 2 email responses.

I am confused with the 1st email response.  It seems to list some webcam 
parameters, but does not ask me to do anything.

I have a questions about the purpose of installing the 6.14 kernel.

  * How is the 6.14 kernel different than the presently installed kernel?
  * Will the 6.14 kernel cause any problems with the current 24.04
    install or future updates?
  * Also, should I repeat my detection test again after the 6.14
    install, or is the dmesg log sufficient?
