Thank you for raising, pointing out the potential upstream fix for
rclone, and the conversation. We're noticing some irregularities in the
packaging for deja-dup that we are going to look into.
rclone is in universe, and has community support. It is not a direct
dependency of deja-dup (it's a suggests, and may be installed at run-
time with packagekit).
we're past feature freeze, and bringing in an rclone version ahead of
Debian into 25.10 Questing is highly unlikely. The standard workflow for
Ubuntu is to sync from Debian, which is also still on 1.60.1+dfsg-4. We
are going to look into the packaging irregularities and usage of
packagekit because of the upstream push for rclone when syncing to
clouds.
