The exception document states [1]: "No less than 6 weeks after each Ubuntu release (to allow some widespread testing) the version of open-vm-tools can be backported from the current Ubuntu release to the most recent LTS’ -updates pocket and any non-LTS stable release in support."
The proposed version does not seem to match this criteria because, (a) the backport is from questing which is still devel, and (b) the questing version has only been in -release since Aug 22. I have not dealt with open-vm-tools SRUs in the past, but according to the documentation at least, it seems this is premature. Am I missing something?
