I have done the following on an IBM z17 after installing ubuntu 24.04 and adding
the -proposed repository to the installation files:

~# lsb_release -c

~# apt update

Hit:5 http://ports.ubuntu.com/ubuntu-ports noble-security InRelease

Reading state information... Done
All packages are up to date.
~# apt-get install s390-tools/noble-proposed
.... some output here

root@b83lp65:~# lscpumf -c | grep '^10' | wc -l
105
root@b83lp65:~# lscpumf -v
lscpumf version 2.31.0-build-20250827

This version of lscpumf supports z17 counter sets on ubuntu 24.04.

Verification ok for ubuntu 24.04 noble
