Public bug reported:

My system froze twice in a row when attempting to change the wi-fi password on
a NetgearWND3400, while being wifi connected to it. I needed to press the reset
button on the computer to reboot it. The first freeze occurred when attempting
to change the wifi password, the system froze before the password could be
saved. The second freeze occurred after a second attempt to change the wifi
password, when the password prompt for the new password was accepted.
I started this process with ubuntu-bug linux; hopefully, the log files it
generated are here.
