Sorry, no. When I run into this bug, I found this: https://forums.debian.net/viewtopic.php?t=159411
and that seems consistent with what I see with raspbian on my pi5 and another popos system I have. But those system are headless and "static" enough, that I can just start openvpn myself, not via network manager. But for the primary laptop that's not a workable solution. I already have as OS-related hobby, so I've been using Ubuntu for work stuff since 12.04 b/c it was just getting out of my way and providing excellent and boring (which is a compliment) experience. But since 22.04 I've been through the proverbial thousand cuts and it is extremely frustrating. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2117116 Title: Display goes black, gnome-shell goes 100% CPU spamming "Attempting to call back into JSAPI during the sweeping phase of GC."
