I changed the line "options snd-hda-intel model=acer" to "options snd-hda-intel
model=toshiba" after reading somewhere (I think it was the Ubuntu wiki) that
that model's muting feature (internal speakers muting when plugging in a
headset on a laptop) was working.
And indeed it does. Now I have automute working.
