I have now had an opportunity to try on the stock Ubuntu desktop and exactly the same is happening there. It also does it at work with different monitors and cables. The displays themselves do not flicker. None of the laptop sockets show any signs of physical damage.
I attempted to install Teams, company mandate, using Crossover's WINE. It promptly removed almost all the DEs (and failed to install Teams!) and a lot of libraries, including most of the sound libraries. It took me a while to recover the system, but reinstalling everything to do with Plasma and the default Ubuntu desktops has made no difference. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2121583 Title: KDE / Plasma keeps changing speaker source To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/alsa-driver/+bug/2121583/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
