Hi,

we have the same reproducible behavior with the Thunderbird package that
transitions from deb to snap when upgrading from 22.04 to 24.04 with do-
release-upgrade.

In summary, the upgrade fails with this in the apt-term.log file:

Removing thunderbird-gnome-support (1:128.12.0+build1-0ubuntu0.22.04.1) ...
Preparing to unpack .../thunderbird_2%3a1snap1-0ubuntu3_amd64.deb ...
=> Installing the thunderbird snap
==> Checking connectivity with the snap store
==> Installing the thunderbird snap
Ensure prerequisites for "thunderbird" are available
Download snap "gnome-42-2204" (202) from channel "stable"
[...]
Mount snap "gnome-42-2204" (202)
error: cannot perform the following tasks:
- Make snap "thunderbird" (796) available to the system (cannot cleanup failed 
attempt at making snap "thunderbird" available to the system: cannot 
update-desktop-database "update-desktop-database: error while loading shared 
libraries: libglib-2.0.so.0: cannot open shared object file: No such file or 
directory\n": exit status 127)
- Make snap "thunderbird" (796) available to the system (cannot 
update-desktop-database "update-desktop-database: error while loading shared 
libraries: libglib-2.0.so.0: cannot open shared object file: No such file or 
directory\n": exit status 127)
